November 2011 – Occupation List updates

Changes have been made to Victoria’s occupation lists, which detail occupations eligible to apply for state sponsorship.

The Victorian Government regularly updates these lists and now provides forewarning of occupations that are attracting a high number of applications and are likely to close before the end of the program year.

Summary of updates:
o        Removal of specialisation requirements for many occupations
o        Exclusions for some ICT specialist skills.

All occupations on Victoria’s occupation lists, including ICT occupations, are currently open for sponsorship applications.  This advice will be regularly updated and available on the LiveInVictoria website at the start of each month or as required.

Check the LiveinVictoria website for updated information about minimum eligibility requirements, assessment criteria and processes for state sponsorship.
