Victoria State Migration Plan Announced

The state of VICTORIA has announced its new sponsorship list on 28 September 2011.

Victoria’s occupation lists identify eligible occupations and requirements to apply for state sponsorship.

Victoria has two occupation lists which relate to specific visas:

  • Skilled-Sponsored (176) visa
  • Skilled-Regional Sponsored (475 and 487) visa

State Sponsorship Occupation List for Graduates in Victoria (PDF, 130 KB)

  • Skilled-Sponsored (886) visa.

To determine if you are eligible to apply for sponsorship and learn how to apply, see state sponsorship.

Extensive research and industry consultation is undertaken to ensure that Victoria’s skilled migration program attracts migrants with highly sought occupations, and those with a strong likelihood of finding work in Victoria’s labour market.

These occupations are endorsed by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship through Victoria’s State Migration Plan
