VIC State Migration Plan announced

The state of VICTORIA has announced its new sponsorship list on 1 Nov 2010.

The new list of occupations sponsored by Victoria now include:

• Software & Applications Programmers (NEC) (ANZSCO 261399) including specialization in CISSP, Oracle, SAP, C++/C#/C, Java, J2EE, SIEBEL, Oracle (E-Business Suite), GIS and Network security/firewall/internet security
  
• Software Tester (ANZSCO 261314)
• Human Resource Manager (ANZSCO 132311)
• R&D Manager (ANZSCO 132511)
• Life Scientists (NEC) (ANZSCO 234599)
• Production Manager (Mining) (ANZSCO 133513)
• Mathematician (ANZSCO 224112)
• Statisticians (ANZSCO 224113)
• Dietitian (ANZSCO 251111)
• and other occupations
  

Many of the sponsored occupations require a minimum of 2-5 years of relevant work experience and some have higher English requirements. Please check the list for details.

Sponsorship applications will commence on 3 Nov 2010.

Are the VIC sponsorships limited?
Each occupation nominated for sponsorship has a quota limit (when an occupation has reached its quota, it would be omited from the list), and the overall cap on total applications for the 2010/2011 year for VIC is 4500 visa grants, which includes the primary and secondary applicants.

Are these the only occupations available for sponsorship?
VIC is the first state to announce the new State Migration Plan. Other states are expected to follow suit. Please check back with our website for the latest announcements on sponsorship.
